From Overworked Dad to Super Affiliate Mentor: My Story

Let me ask you...

Are you tired of long workdays, missing family moments, and still struggling financially?

I know that pain. For years, I lived it.

I was working long hours at my government job in Chandigarh District Court as a Stenographer, barely seeing my kids, and constantly worrying about money.

Every day I felt trapped — wake up early, commute, type away in the courtroom, come home exhausted, and still wonder: Is this all my life is supposed to be?

My salary disappeared into bills — rent, electricity, phone — leaving me broke at the end of every month.

Even worse, I couldn’t give my family the lifestyle they deserved.

The guilt was eating me alive.

I remember many nights lying awake, scared.

“What would happen to my family if I quit?”

“How would I feed them?”

“What if I fail?”

But another voice inside me kept saying: There has to be a better way.

Quitting My Job (Without a Backup Plan)

Finally, on March 3, 2014, In frustration, I gave my resignation letter with one month notice.

On April 3rd, 2014, I was relieved from my government job… but I was also terrified.

Because quitting without a backup plan was the scariest decision of my life.

One day I had a “secure” paycheck. The next, I had nothing. So, I turned to the only other skill I had: dance, typing etc.

I began learning & teaching Salsa, Bachata, and Latin dance classes just to survive.

I also joined an RCM network marketing company and started selling rice bran oil and nutrition items.

During the day, I taught dance and sold products in vegetable markets.

At night, I searched online: “How to make money from home,” “How to earn online,” “Data entry jobs.”

I tried data entry and paid surveys.

But they paid less than my government job.

I still couldn’t make ends meet. Some months, I borrowed money from friends just to pay rent.

My marriage suffered.

Arguments with my wife became frequent. My relationship with my family was falling apart.

The Turning Point: Discovering Affiliate Marketing

In my late-night searches, I discovered affiliate marketing.

The concept made sense: promote valuable products, earn commissions, work from home.

But like most beginners, I wasted two years chasing free YouTube hacks, reading blogs & articles on Google and shiny objects.

I told myself it was all a scam.

Still, something inside me whispered: Don’t give up.

Finally, I invested in my first paid training — Chris Farrell Membership on ClickBank.

That’s when everything changed.

My First Commission: $1.68

I applied what I learned and promoted the course.

Then it happened — I made my first affiliate commission: $1.68.

You might laugh at that small amount, but for me it was proof that this works.

That $1.68 gave me hope.

Soon after, I made a few more sales — $13.48 each.

I still remember the excitement of seeing commissions appear in my account.

It wasn’t much money, but it was life-changing.

From Doubt to Growth

But the journey was far from easy.

After those first commissions, I hit roadblocks. No consistent results. Self-doubt crept in again.

I asked myself: “Maybe this isn’t for me. Maybe others can succeed but not me.”

But then I remembered why I started — for my family, my freedom, my future.

So, I kept going.

I read Russell Brunson’s DotCom Secrets. I joined the One Funnel Away Challenge. I learned how to create hooks, stories, offers, and sales funnels.
